A little about the wanderer lady photographer

Hello, I am Bindu, an artistically driven freelance photographer, rooted in the vibrant city of Derby. There is so much to say - I must admit that after exiting a corporate work life, I found my way straight into the woods, roaming with lens tangled in my hair, collecting freckles or going on the muddy floor for that precious little capture. With time, I realised that the little things, everything mundane, I found fulfilling to capture. My admiration for all things vibrant, silently co-existing, from the skies above to the earth upon which we tread, gave rise to the name "Rainbowdust”.

I am DBS verified and specialize in Family and Children photography since my hobby transitioned to a profession two years ago. Having experience in studio work, I genuinely hold passion for outdoor natural light photography , capturing creative portraits, as well as pets, nature, and macro subjects. Also am an acrylic texture artist and dancer trained in Indian classical dance.

Vision

What is of utmost importance to me is capturing “true essence”. I conduct unrushed sessions at a gentle and accommodating pace. This allows individuals to gradually feel more at ease and to naturally reveal their authentic selves, enabling me to genuinely connect with and capture the true essence of their being.

I offer bespoke packages to suit every budget, as i believe everyone deserves an opportunity. Always pleased to help with basic styling and makeup, if there is a need.

Stepping into the art

The pleasure of discovering photography happened during my teenage years when I had the opportunity to use my father's camera. I quickly became indulged in this hobby and volunteered to photograph family and friends. Documenting people's expressions, enjoyable moments, and memorable family excursions through the lens of my camera has consistently been a significant source of fulfilment in my life.

I enjoy creating visual poetry

Over the years, I found myself forming a deep bond with the subjects I captured through my lens. Each portrait, every free floating cloud, and every delicate dew droplet tells a unique and a captivating narrative. I thoroughly admire and preserve the sheer elegance of these visually stunning moments through the art of photography.

All images on this portfolio are my captures. I work with mirrorless Canon EOS R6 Mark II.
